The Taste of Tasmania has a variety of equipment available for hire for events, both on a public and private scale. This equipment is available for hire throughout the year, except for the period from 29 November 2019 through to 13 January 2020 when the equipment is being used onsite for The Taste of Tasmania Festival. 

There are two price points for the hire of Taste equipment, a community rate and a corporate rate.

The community rate is targeted at hirers whose events are run by not-for-profit organisations. If you are eligible for the community rate, you will be asked to provide your ABN, entity name and ATO charity type. The City of Hobart offers a grants program which you may be eligible for and apply to receive either cash or in-kind support for you event. The corporate rate is targeted at private and commercial events which are run by for-profit organisations. The pricing of the equipment is determined on an annual basis through the Council Fees and Charges process. All pricing is set at competitive rates and takes into account factors such as maintenance, repairs and administrative costs. The City of Hobart offers a range of equipment and facilities for hire, all of which can be found on the Council’s Fees and Charges booklet located here. The Fees and Charges are updated annually each financial year.
