The Taste of Tasmania 2017 is on from Thursday 28 December 2017 until Wednesday 3 January 2018.

Opening hours 

The Taste of Tasmania is FREE to enter every day from 11am - 11pm, except on the evening of New Year’s Eve when the site is free to enter from 10am – 3pm and reopens 6pm-1am for New Year's Eve ticket holders only. 

New Year’s Eve

Join us for A Midsummer Night’s Eve party from 6pm on New Year’s Eve. All our stallholders will be open so you can celebrate the end of 2017 with delicious food and drink while you’re serenaded by our great line-up of acts including Tassie’s own Monique Brumby and Héloise, and Aussie indie-rock royalty, The Whitlams.

If you’re bringing your family, Kids in the Park is open, and free until 9.15pm, to coincide with the 'family fireworks' scheduled for 9.30pm, followed by the midnight party fireworks : New Year's Eve.

Reserved Seating

You can find plenty of free seating in every part of the Taste but if you’d prefer to guarantee your spot before you arrive, there are two areas for you to choose from. Click on the links for more details:

Parking: is available in a range of places close to the festival

The Regatta showgrounds, all day free of charge. Open 10am – midnight.

Salamanca Square (lower ground level 3-hour limit) Open 8.30 am – midnight

- 3-hour limit and fees apply 8.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 5pm Saturday for market parking.
- There is no time limit and no charge on Sundays and outside these hours on Monday to Friday.

Dunn Place. Open 24 hours, 7 days.

- 3-hour time limit and fees apply 8.30am – 5pm, 7 days.
- There is no time limit on parking or fees charged outside these hours.

1 Montpelier Retreat. Open 24 hours, 7 days.

- Time limit and fees apply 8am – 8pm, 7 days.
- There is no time limit on parking or fees charged outside these hours.

Park n’ Ride shuttle bus: will be in operation on Saturday 30 December. Parking is available in the Regatta and it's a 7 minute walk to the festival precinct.

Ticket Booth: 10am – 9pm daily, except New Year’s Eve, 10am – 11pm
Visit our Ticket Booth on site for ticket sales and collections for Reserved Seating, Tours and New Year's Eve tickets.

Info Booth: 10am – 8.30pm daily
Located near the front gates, off Morrison Street.

Our super friendly team will help you with your Taste questions plus all thing travel and tourism throughout Tasmania.

Souvenir Taste tasting glass
Your reusable souvenir Taste glasses are available to purchase from the merchandise booth at the entrance and from selected stallholders for $8.

Free Bike Valet 
This is staffed 11am – 4.30pm daily except on New Year's Eve when it's staffed 10am – 3pm, but is available for use until midnight every day.
This service is provided by Bicycle Network Tasmania (biketas.org.au)

Free Pram Valet
This is staffed 11am – 3pm daily, but is available for use 11am – midnight every day.

Parenting Room: 11am – 8.30pm daily

Tommy Choo Choo 11am – 4.30pm daily
Take a trip on Tommy Choo Choo and travel between the Taste and Constitution Dock. Fare $4 return.

Water
Free drinking water is available at four stations across the festival site – BYO bottle to refill, or use your souvenir Taste glass!

Zero Waste 2030
Help us work towards our Zero Waste 2030 Strategy by using the recycling and composting bins across the site.
